You might know Rachel Serrano from her famous photo shoots or her role as a social media influencer. Either way, she is someone to watch out for. Her Instagram account, @racheloveee, makes you want to live your best life.
How long have you called Miami your home?
Always! Miami is my hometown.
Where is your favorite place in Miami to take visiting friends?
My favorite restaurant, which is KYU. It’s in Wynwood and has amazing food!
What are some of your favorite local brands/businesses that you worked with?
I love Studio LX and Market. Market has great basics that you can wear year round.
Out of all the photo shoots you’ve done, what one was your favorite?
This is a tough one. There’s something special about a lot of them. Whether it be working for a huge brand (VS Pink), working with a renowned photographer (Bruce Webber for Vogue), or just going to a really cool location. Campaign shoots are always fun because you travel with the same group of people for a couple of days so you get to make friends with the models/crew all while visiting some insane spots.
How can local businesses gain more exposure on social media?
Post every single day! Get your name out there. The more you post, the more engagement you will get, the more people will see your business! Collabing with a social media influencer will also help to get your name out to a new audience.
Tell us your biggest challenge as a content creator
Finding the time to create great quality content. Since this isn’t really my prioritized job, it’s hard to find time to keep my content game up while also working.
Since 2019 started, what would you say is the most exciting thing you’ve done?
I would say, all of the traveling I’ve done. For work and for fun. I never take my traveling time for granted. Even if I have to be up at 4 am, I enjoy it.
How can a social media influencer better engage with their audience?
Post more stories. People love to get an inside look at your everyday life. Also, interacting! Use the polls and question stickers in your stories helps a lot with making a personal connection.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My boyfriend. He bought me all the gear I needed to start creating content, A professional camera, some lighting, computer programs, you name it. He’s my #1 fan and he definitely inspires me every day.

What book has left the biggest impact?
Skinny Bitch! That book helped me change my eating habits for the better.
Out of all the places you’ve visited, which one are you dying to revisit?
Grootobos nature reserve in Gansbaai, South Africa. You wake up to a view of the deep blue ocean meeting the green mountains covered in colorful flowers. The sun is rising and the sky is all sorts of pink/orange/yellow/purple. It’s my absolute favorite place in the world.
What equipment do you use?
I sometimes use my Canon T3 and a ring light to record videos. But most of the time I used my iPhone for my insta pics.

How does your life look in the next 5 years?
I try not to plan/think about my future because with expectations there is always disappointment. When I was 18 I thought I’d be married and have 3 kids by now (LOL). I like to enjoy my life, live in the moment and appreciate whatever comes my way. Who knows if I’ll even be living in the same place 5 years from now, and I’m ok with that.
