Tell us about Après Coaching
Après Coaching connects holistic health, life and business coaches to clients. We have also begun to spearhead wellness initiatives for small businesses and corporate clients.
How did you get started?
Before I working in wellness, everything about the way I lived my life outside of work was 100% holistic health. Looking at the “wheel of life”, I realized my career was the one component I still needed to shift to become really fulfilled. So while continuing endless side study, I also gradually started gaining certifications until I could officially shift over into teaching yoga and coaching clients, which I always knew would ultimately continue to evolve further given where I have set my sights.
What has been the most challenging moment in your career?
I can’t say it would be one moment. My career has changed and evolved so much that I would have to say overall the biggest challenge has been trusting myself, trusting the process, knowing that although it has been far from a traditional course, it is leading me to where I’m supposed to be. Challenging to say the least!
What was the most braggable moment?
I would rather not!
What would you say is your biggest weakness?
Learning how to ask for help and support. Thus, a coaching business was born.
And your greatest strength?
Tenacity mixed with vision. I’ve learned to believe things are possible more so than impossible.
What was the greatest lesson you’ve learned from a mistake?
Never put all of your eggs in one basket. Especially if it’s someone else’s basket.
What do you love most about what you do?
Seeing people break through and realize that they really can help themselves to heal, grow, expand, succeed, and go from average to awesome.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
All of the best “advice” I’ve ever received has actually come through the practice of yoga. With that – it would be to always cultivate a beginner’s mind – openness rooted in humility.
How do you define happiness?
Progress. Progression. Because it is what makes us feel alive. Which leads to more love, and ultimately love is the only way forward. It’s all connected.
What book are you currently reading?
I’m always reading several. The latest though is Tony Robbin’s book on Money suggested by a friend. Very much challenging myself to tap more into my left brain and teach myself more on investing.
What’s a personal habit that you believe contributes to your success?
I have several, but historically, exercise, movement and getting outside. It’s a non-negotiable. Not only for the obvious physical benefits, but even more so for what it does for the mind in the way of creativity, openness, and receptiveness that transfers to all realms of life.
Have you collaborated with another business/artist in the past? (if yes tell us how it benefited you, if no tell us how you would like to)
Après Coaching just launched, but it is a collaboration in and of itself. And yes, plans to further collaborate with others are in the works. As they say, “together we can”. The future is bright!
