Rosso Development
“I was born in Argentina and moved to Europe in 1989. After working in Belgium for a couple of years, I moved again and spent the next 10 years in the Middle East between Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Cairo. Eventually, I decided to come back to reality and went to MIT in Boston to complete a Master’s degree in real estate finance. After graduating, I moved to Miami and started working at Related Group, where I met my mentor Jorge Pérez.
I have lived in Miami for 20 years.
Miami is a vibrant city in the fastest growing country in the world. You don’t need to pretend that you’re someone else in Miami–you can be exactly who you are. It’s a city of immigrants and a city that offers a lot of growth for people who want to work hard.”
When did you begin your career in Real Estate and how were you inspired towards this path?
I started in real estate development 20 years ago at Related Group, where I was an assistant project manager for a rental project in Tamarac and worked my way up to eventually become president of the condominium division.
I studied architecture and worked for a European construction company doing massive projects in the Middle East before that. Through my interactions there, I realized I wanted to become a developer and be the one calling the shots – to create buildings that can change a neighborhood.
As an entrepreneur, what do you believe your strength is?
Optimism. I’m always looking to the future, always thinking that the next deal is the best deal, and always pushing to deliver the best possible product and exceed expectations.
What is the most prevalent challenge you see buyers facing currently?
Buyers need to be more discerning. They need to pick buildings that will work in the future, not just what they see today in terms of brochures and marketing.
Who has been the most influential inspiration for you?
Jorge Pérez has been like a lighthouse for me, guiding me through my years at Related Group. Since launching Rosso Development, he has continued to give great advice now that I’m on my own.
What is a valuable lesson you learned from a mistake?
I need to listen more, and sometimes mistakes are a great way to teach you how to improve and move forward. There is always something positive that comes out of those moments. You can’t get stuck–you need to learn and move on.
Is there a special piece of advice you have received?
Start working earlier than anyone else and finish later than everyone else.

ONE Park Tower by Turnberry
Who do you feel has contributed the most to your success?
My wife.
What are some design trends you see modern developers implementing?
I think design in general continues to evolve and we’re challenged to come up with new ideas, new brands, new interiors, new ways of presenting the product. There are infinite trends that are continuously changing and driving us to change with them.
For instance, we added a pickleball court at The Standard Residences given the huge interest right now and at ONE Park Tower by Turnberry we are creating a private beach experience centered around an incredible seven-acre lagoon.
How do you think the market will change in 2023?
I think there are going to be cost issues that create real challenges for some projects. Hopefully Miami continues to be a magnet for companies relocating to Florida, and we continue to complete infrastructure needed to bring in those companies, i.e. good private schools and commuting solutions.
At SoLé Mia, the master-planned community where we are developing ONE Park Tower with Turnberry. This was a major focus –you can work, live, and play in the same location. There are schools around the corner and a 10-acre University of Miami medical center on property, along with retail areas and 37 acres of green spaces and parks.

The Standard – Midtown
Is there a non-profit or cause that is close to your heart?
We work with a lot of art and poetry organizations that we incorporate into our projects. Culture is such an important part of building a community. We are collaborating with the poetry non-profit O, Miami at The Standard Residences. We also support local artists through Collective 62.
During Miami Art Week, we hosted non-profit Art 4 Humanity’s One World Show worldwide exhibition at The Standard Residences sales gallery. It was a really impactful showing of activism through art by young women refugees. In Argentina, we support charities for underprivileged kids.
In your career, what has been the most memorable experience?
I can’t narrow it down to just one experience. I’ve had the pleasure of working with great minds throughout the real estate world. Jorge Pérez, Jackie Soffer, Richard LeFrak, and all the designers, architects, and artists we work with. We’ve done many incredible projects together, and I know we will continue to in the future.
For friends and clients that are new to Miami, where would you take them for the best experiences?
I love taking people on tours through my projects. For example, The spaces for ONE Park Tower by Turnberry in North Miami and The Standard Residences in Midtown Miami. These just opened and are a great way to get a sense of the community.
Away from projects, my favorite spots are Mandolin Aegean Bistro, Amara at Paraiso, and the Pérez Art Museum.
