CREATIVE G.L.U.E is a networking experience company based in Miami.

They produce a series of 6 curated events and workshops that bridge the gap between business and creativity through strategic networking events all while exploring Miami’s main districts.

What does G.L.U.E stand for?

G.L.U.E stands for Give Learn Unite and Evolve, as a value system to drive purpose. The overall goal is to accelerate high impact ideas and expand Miami’s entrepreneurial culture.

If we accelerate the entrepreneur culture it will ultimately bring national and international investment to Miami.

How  did you get started?

I was producing smaller upscale networking events with my girlfriend / co-founder and noticed that business networking events were all the same boring stuff and lacked any kind of creativity or innovation. On the other side at creative events it was all creativity and art but no business. I thought to myself how powerful would it be to bring these 2 different dynamics together, thus Creative Glue was born.

What has been the most challenging moment in your career?

I was working for a large corporate real estate developer consulting firm and was traveling to 36 different states for 3.5 years. I think leaving the corporate world to start my own company was one of my biggest challenges but the most rewarding. I became free!

What was the most braggable moment?

The first time we had 1000+ people at our event with top business leaders, influencers & creative professionals.

What would you say is your biggest weakness?

I dont consider myself having weaknesses, however, I call them areas of improvement. 1) Sometimes I give too much.. 2) patience with those that don’t want to succeed & 3) my biggest weakness of all is…. Cheese Cake.

And your greatest strength?

Communication and building strong relationships. Helping connect the dots for people.

What was the greatest lesson you’ve learned from a mistake?

That you should always learn from mistakes & to never forget that.

What do you love most about what you do?

I am making an impact not only on people’s lives but also the growth of our city. I get to throw networking events for a living, which is pretty cool & rewarding.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

I’m gonna have to give you 3:

  1. If you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room.
  2. Your network is your net worth
  3. Put purpose before profit and all will follow

 

How do you define happiness?

Real happiness is when you have fulfillment in all 5 areas of the S.P.I.R.E. Framework.. which is an acronym for Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relationship and Emotional Happiness. I try to fulfill all 5 of them, that’s what I consider happiness.

What book are you currently reading?

Tools of The Titans by Tim Ferris

What’s a personal habit that you believe contributes to your success?

Always staying positive, even if the world is crumbling, I always find the positive in every situation. Also meditating and manifesting my endeavors has played a big role.

Have you collaborated with another business/artist in the past? (if yes tell us how it benefited you, if no tell us how you would like to)

My entire business model is based on collaborations and partnerships, that’s what I do and that’s what I stand for. Sure I can do it alone, but why?

If you are looking to go fast, go alone. If you want to build something for the long run you go together.

Any piece of advice you would like to share with us?

People don’t realize how powerful their network can be, take advantage of those resources and talents that are around to push your endeavor. Truly build relationships, always give and remember that it only takes one person to change your life.
