Sharit is an architect and spatial designer for Young Artist Initiative, which is an event driven platform for young emerging artist based in Miami.

How  did you get started?

I collaborated with the then, recently created YAI to design the seating arrangements and furniture for their event in Cafeina Wynwood back in October 2015.

What has been the most challenging moment in your career?

Juggling my passion for what YAI stands for and finishing my masters in architecture simultaneously.

What was the most braggable moment?

My personal milestone is the up coming exhibition taking place February 23-25 at the 11/11 parking garage designed by Herzog and De Meuron, one of the projects that made me fall in love with architecture and Miami

What would you say is your biggest weakness?

Organization, I’m messy

And your greatest strengths

Always looking at the bright side and resolving situations on the spot.

What was the greatest lesson you’ve learned from a mistake?

Taking on more responsibilities than I should and in the end not being able to give it my all.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love creating experience and seeing people actually bring an exhibition to life and the gratification I get to see the artists grow.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

My moms, she always told me everything happens for a reason and thats my attitude towards life.

How do you define happiness?

Doing what you love by following your passion

What book are you currently reading?

The fountain head is the book I turn to if I have time … its been 4 years.

What’s a personal habit that you believe contributes to your success?

I enjoy collaboration and team efforts.

Have you collaborated with another business/artist in the past?

Yes I can name a few, it’s what i do for a living. Collaborating ,along with other factors, is what has influenced growth in YAI.
