Creator Spotlight: Sabrina Leamon
Sabrina Leamon shares her life in little grid boxes on her Instagram, @sabrinaleamon
She combines a love of fitness with a need for speed on her page, and told ARTRPRNR all about how she feels social media has changed the way people see her.
What are the first 3 things you do when you wake up?
Easy: Brush my teeth. Can’t even think about anything else until I do that. Then I immediately climb back into bed and check my insta feed, or answer a couple easy emails. After I’m done scrolling, I go make breakfast!
If you could take one person with you anywhere, who would that be? Where would you go?
I’d take my boyfriend to the Four Seasons Resort in Bora Bora. It’s always been my dream vacation spot, and I’d love to share the white sand beaches with him.
What accounts do you follow for personal inspiration and what about them inspires you?
My favorite accounts to follow for inspo are @tammyhembrow and @nikkiblackletter because they inspire me to get my booty in the gym and work hard for what I want for myself.
Do you feel that content creators on social media are misrepresented or misunderstood?
Sometimes I feel like people think content creators and influencers have these perfect lives, when that’s really not how we live. We all work hard to gain these followings, and I never want people to think we don’t.
Even though I might have a lot of followers, I’m still a normal person! I get a lot of messages from people saying they’re jealous of my life, but I do the same things as them and live my life, too.
You’ve promoted all kinds of different brands on your page, like Accuair Scooters and Rent Luso. What’s your favorite part of your brand collaborations?
My favorite part of working with brands is the priceless connections I’ve made. I once worked with a company, and met one of my best friends. So it’s not even just about business, it’s about having fun and being creative.
If we use our social media to lift each other up, imagine the ways it can elevate all of us! I love when I see someone influential using their platform to promote a positive message.
As social media continues to grow, what do you consider the biggest challenge content creators will face?
I think the biggest challenge for content creators, and really everyone that uses social media, is going to be balancing when it’s appropriate to take pictures and post things against when it’s not. It’s important to recognize a time each day to stay away from social media for our own mental health, too. Being present in the moment is only going to get harder the more social media grows.
Seems like you’re always on the go. How do you manage your life on and off line?
I always have a planner and notebook on me! Taking notes and keeping track of things makes it so much easier to live my life without worrying about missing things.
